2012 Tulsa Young Chamber Artists Competition
Sponsored by Chamber Music Tulsa and Tom & Vicky Warburton
In Partnership with Tulsa Symphony Orchestra
Tulsa Camerata is excited to partner with Chamber Music Tulsa once again for our 2012 Young Chamber Artists Competition. We have a few changes and surprises in store for our participants this year. In addition to having the Grand Prize winner perform on Tulsa Camerata’s subscription concert in February, the top three chamber groups will each receive a Master Class with the internationally renowned Miró Quartet. The date of the Competition is such that students will be prepared and in wonderful shape for upcoming statewide competitions. So, whether you have a string quartet, woodwind quintet, or are looking to form a new group with your classmates, we encourage you to apply early and get ready to make some profound musical memories.
The Competition will be held in Emerson Hall at All Souls Unitarian Church on Saturday, January 28, 2012 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Student ensembles will perform in front a panel of judges who will determine the winning ensemble based solely on their live performance.
